AI Infrastructure Technology Driving Forces, Challenges & Key Directions
AI infrastructure growth is driven by surging computational demand from increasingly large & complex generative AI models as companies shift to massive, energy‑intensive AI Infrastructure buildouts. Advanced Silicon & packaging technologies are becoming essential drivers of AI infrastructure growth as increasingly complex AI accelerators demand higher performance, thermal efficiency, bandwidth density and needs for AI driven advanced manufacturing.  This talk will provide key insights into AI driven advanced manufacturing directions focused on real time automation, big data enabled high precision quality, and AI enabled predictive capabilities. 

Meet Dr. Yoon

Jung is a Distinguished Engineer & CTO of IBM Supply Chain. He is a recognized industry leading expert in DRAM, Flash, SSDs, and semiconductor devices, and drives technology convergence between industry capabilities and IBM’s strategic product offerings across IBM’s server infrastructure.  Jung has over 30 years of experience in the field of Semiconductor R&D, technology enablement and quality. Jung earned his PhD in Solid State Physics from Columbia University, MS from University of California Berkeley, and a BS from Seoul National University.
