About me
Tom Rovere is a Research Scientist for Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems division in Owego, NY. In this capacity, he is responsible for research and development related to flexible hybrid electronics (FHE), printed electronics, antenna manufacturing, circuit card assembly, and secure processing development. His primary role is to mature new technologies, bringing them to production level readiness. Tom has earned multiple trade secret awards and patents related to circuit card manufacturing. He has also received Lockheed Martin’s Evening of Excellence Award for Technical Innovation. He serves as Owego’s IPC representative, is Lockheed Martin’s Technical Council Representative for NextFlex, and is on the Surface Mount Technology Association Global Board of Directors. This past year Tom became a Lockheed Martin Fellow and NextFlex Fellow, achieving the rare honor of “Double Fellow” (trademark pending). Tom graduated from Lehigh University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Materials Science and Engineering and in 2015 earned a Masters of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Binghamton University.
