About me
Nithin Lakshminarayan is an SMT Lab Engineer II at Universal Instruments’ Advanced Process Lab, where he specializes in the process optimization, thermomechanical reliability, and failure analysis of advanced electronic interconnects. He holds an M.S. in Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems Integration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, with a research focus on characterizing failure mechanisms in emerging solder alloys.Nithin’s recent research contributions investigate the vibration fatigue behavior of low-melt solder alloys and the development of improved test methodologies for electronics packaging. His technical expertise includes optimizing SMT assembly process windows alongside implementing advanced failure analysis methodologies to isolate root-cause mechanisms in high-density assemblies. A certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and former President of the RIT SMTA Student Chapter, Nithin focuses on bridging the gap between fundamental research and production-level reliability standards.
