About me
Australia-based Keith Sweatman is a graduate in metallurgical engineering who, in technical and management roles with the International Tin Research Institute, Multicore Solders, and most recently Nihon Superior Co. Ltd, has accumulated 50 years’ experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. While his perspective has been as a supplier of soldering materials, in that role he has been obliged to learn a lot about electronics design and manufacturing processes. His position in Nihon Superior is Senior Technical Advisor. In his position as Adjunct Senior Fellow he supports research and teaching at the University of Queensland, Australia, where the Nihon Superior Centre for the Manufacture of Electronic Materials (NS CMEM) has earned global recognition for its contribution to the understanding of the fundamentals of solder alloy metallurgy, behaviour, and reliability.
