About me
Jinsub Park is a Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, where he also serves as the Head of the Department of Semiconductor Engineering and the Department of Electronic Engineering. He is the Director of the Advanced Convergence Semiconductor Innovation Laboratory (ACSOL).
Prof. Park has more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor devices, materials, and fabrication processes. He received his M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in 2002 and worked on compound semiconductor research and development at Samsung Electro-Mechanics from 2002 to 2006. He received his Ph.D. from Tohoku University in 2009 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on emerging semiconductor devices and convergence technologies, including resistive switching memory (ReRAM), spintronic memory such as MRAM and SOT-MRAM, neuromorphic devices, perovskite-based photosensors, optoelectronic synaptic devices, and hardware security. He has authored more than 150 SCI(E)-indexed journal publications. Prof. Park received the Deputy Prime Minister’s Award in 2019 for his pioneering contributions to light-extraction technologies for optoelectronic devices and the Minister’s Award from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) in 2024 for his contributions to academia–industry collaboration and the semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment ecosystem.
