A Navy veteran with twenty years of experience in electronics assurance for critical applications, Ed Dodd is currently working on improving parts management and industry supply chain processes. He currently serves as the Vice President, Government and Defense for Cofactr, a leading procurement automation company that is fusing supply chain assurance with procurement automation. Cofactr’s free platform is streamlining how engineers and procurement teams buy electronic parts through the buying, storing, kitting and shipping process.Prior to that, as the director of US Army Programs at Ansys he advocated for physics-based digital thread and automated analysis from part to mission. He took on this role after the acquisition of Sherlock and DfR Solutions, where he consulted across automotive and aerospace industries on various electronics reliability challenges, participating in the evolution and adoption of reliability physics. Ed continues to serve the industry as the vice-chair of the SAE Avionics Process Management Committee, working on parts management standards like EIA4899 and EIA933.
