About me
Ricardo Chuma is Co-Owner and Engineering Director at 2B Automacao e Usinagem, a Brazilian company specializing in tooling and fixtures for the electronics manufacturing industry. He leads engineering initiatives focused on SMT and PTH process optimization, including the development of wave solder pallets, reflow fixtures, test fixtures, and customized manufacturing solutions. Ricardo holds a degree in Automation Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where his research focuses on composite materials. He is also a researcher at the Sustainable Business Laboratory (SB-Lab) at UNICAMP Limeira. His professional interests include fixture design, thermal behavior of engineering materials, process stability, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for electronics assembly. Through his work, Ricardo combines industrial experience with applied research to advance manufacturing quality, reliability, and productivity.
