About me
Anola Semndili is a third year Ph.D. student in Materials Science and Engineering at Binghamton University., Hher current research is on solder joint reliability including regular, high reliability and low temperature alloys under accelerated testing conditions of electromigration, isothermal and thermal cycling. Her goal is to better understand how the microstructure of solder alloys evolves over time under various conditions, allowing for interpretation and generalization of accelerated test results as well as the development of new systems that enable manufacturing innovation. In her current role as research assistant, she performs various experimental design, testing, and material characterization. She collaborates closely with her colleagues, professors and industrial liaisons to ensure the practical relevance of her work and co-author publications aimed at bridging academic insight with engineering application. Prior to her PhD studies, she earned a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Binghamton University with aon thesis that was based on deformation properties of solder joints under accelerated testing. She also has a B.S. in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing Engineering and gained field experience as mineral processing engineer where she managed the processing operations as well as metallurgical processes, oversawee plant safety and optimized production. This background encourages her to extend her academic research to real-world materials challenges and strengthens her approach to problem-solving.
