About me
Doug is a Material Scientist with degrees in Chemistry, Physics and Electrical Engineering.He worked 9 years for the Navy, 8 years as Technical Director of Contamination Studies Labs, and 24 years at Rockwell Collins (now Collins Aerospace), in the Advanced Operations Engineering group. Doug was awarded the Rockwell Collins Arthur A Collins Engineer of the Year Award in 2004. Doug is a long time IPC chairman and was awarded the IPC’s Hall of Fame Award in 2017 and Dieter Bergman Medal in 2022. In 2021, he was elected as a Collins Aerospace Senior Technical Fellow where he led all efforts for electronics cleaning and coating materials and processes. He retired from Collins Aerospace in 2024 and now consults part time in the areas of electronics cleaning and conformal coatings for electronics.
